Is There a Difference Between Local and Global?
I think starting the little ones off, you know, keeping it local makes sense. My fear with perhaps over going, over doing the local element is kind of, I guess, comes back to why there was a national curriculum in the first place. If my kids are my non-existent children in year three, and the whole like two years has been local, local, local then obviously they have no prior knowledge of that. So when you know, you start talking about the Romans in leads or the pointless,you know, Vikings in leads - these kids are at a disadvantage. But we're at a point where social mobility is quite high, so it will certainly help.
