Franco and the Spanish Army in Morocco
Franco was promoted very rapidly on the battlefield for his bravery. He writes his own diary and has it published in the 1920s. In 1926 at the age of just 33 he's promoted to brigadier general. The boy from El Ferro who was bullied as a youngster is finally the military hero he always dreamt of becoming. For his triumphant role Franco becomes a national hero in Spain.
