Palomides Was Framed
Odysseus framed Palomides for treason and then had him killed by his fellow soldiers. The penalty for treason was severe, so the Greeks went along with it without even bothering to have a trial or truly hear his side of the story. While several accounts agree that Palomides was killed at the hands of Odysseus, there are multiple versions of the story of his death. He wasn't mentioned in the Iliad or included anywhere in Homer's works.
