The Underpinning of the Crumble

I don't think this team got better, to be honest with you. And that's really worrying from like three years of tons of transfer expenditure. But I do think the underpinning of the crumble was failing to address that midfield and then signing Ronaldo. That's what really put the nail in the coffin because the midfield could not deal with the issues that were caused up front. Technically, there were already tons of issues and I think they were exposed by this. The best scenario is that the team was like a tiny, tiny bit better. It was roughly the same.
