The Potstam Giants

The Potstam Giants were a military regiment that formed in 1675, it was founded by King Frederick William I of Prussia. They lasted for 130 years until 1806 when they were disbanded. To be a member you had to be at least 6 feet 2 inches tall, which is tall even for today. The official name for the unit was the Potstammer Reason Guarda, but ordinary people nicknamed them the Langa Carla, or Long Fellows.
