The Differences Between Consulting Data Science and the Industry Path
As a data scientist in a big bank, we had systems and processes for accessing the data that were centralized. And on the consulting side, we go client by client. The typical project when I worked in FS was maybe six to 12 months. So you can roll over a project another three to six months until additional approvals or different sign-offs are obtained. It's a little slower moving versus in consulting, you kind of get the chance to make an immediate impact.
