Mansi Choksi, the writer and journalist, is back with us as guest co-host. Two years before Lauren's trip, Mansi also visited the shelter. She passed the same metal detector, stepped into the same dimly lit apartment. The air is thick with smoke from such deep cigarettes, a fluorescent light flickers. There are barely any windows.
