The Importance of Moral Guidance
If there is a universal moral grammar, does that mean we could train a computer to operate according to the same principles as humans? John Mikhail: I'm skeptical. But if we ask a more specific question, suppose we say here are a set of crimes, can we design a computer to make judgments about the criminality of the conduct in this small subset of cases? Well, the answer there, he thinks, is surely yes.
