The Three Concentric Rings of Ethographic Engagement in Vancouver

The research was done in three ethnographic circles. The outer layer of that circle is exploring what is going on activism wise in vancouver. And then the inner one, which started out as a friend's project, ended up being 36 people who i spent a great deal of time with. They're searching for that kind of purity to empower them to stand up against capitalism. It's almost as if they talk bout kind of religious ways of thinking,. As if there's this intense purity to them and it's not subject to political or economic calculations. Essentially,  they are trying to overcome capitalism.
