Involuntary Manslaughter Charges in New Mexico
Alec Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in the shooting depth of cinematographer Halina Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust. New court documents filed Tuesday stating Baldwin failed to act to mitigate or correct the reckless safety violations, neither in his capacity as actor nor producer. If convicted, both facing up to five years in prison. Prosecutors say video and photos from the movie set in October of 2021 show Baldwin with his finger on the trigger. The FBI concluding the trigger had to have been pulled despite Baldwin insisting otherwise.
