The Manoan Period
A century of scholarship says we need to start with the manoans. The legacy they left behind shaped the egean and all who came after for centuries, millennia. Different parts of crete produced different kinds of pottery which were then exported across the island. Even red deer and wild goats that populated the mountains and high forests of crete had probably been intentionally introduced from mainland anatolia by early settlers.
