Is There a Marker of Maturity in Engineers?
I expect people to tell me the truth and not hide truth from me, even if it's uncomfortable. I think that is a tremendous marker of maturity in an engineering manager. One of the clear signs I always look for for maturity in engineers is that they understand those trade-offs. You don't want to have 30 tests that can fail in every single conversation.
