What Is the Process for Getting a G I S Certification?

The g i s p certification is a demonstration of one's commitment to the behaviors that enrich our geospecial profession. The process for becoming a g i s ps is very similar to most professional certifications. There's really three components: you apply and submit a portfolio which details your professional experience, your contributions to the profession and your educational background. You then pass a go spacial exam that we administer. And then the third piece is to read, understand and commit yourself to an ethic statement that all g i s Ps are required to abide by.
