"I don't have any judgment of any individuals that have taken that path. I'm just saying collectively for decades, we have thought of psychedelics as a portal to a kind of a shortcut to spiritual enlightenment and it hasn't really worked," he says. "For me, because of addiction, mental health issues, whatever, I needed to find a spiritual path ... It's just, it gets me to functional."
