The Treasury's Option to Make First Republic a Community Development Bank
The Treasury has a program in place for community development bank CDFIs. They would have to make a special dispensation to make first republic a CDFI, but it's not a crazy solution. It would actually give them capital from the government, Allah, TARP like we did in 2008. Chris: Overall credit quality is still really good. I think they're going to have to unless they can find a bid that's more reasonable.
