I grew up in a really conservative Christian denomination. The word homosexuality is never used without the word abomination in that book. So I went through a pretty significant season of, you call it passive suicidality because I felt like I couldn't be gay and be loved by God or anybody else. But my wife and he met and got married. And she was willing to accept me despite this brokenness that I felt I had. He wound up at an X-Gae ministry for people who are struggling with same sex attraction. They would meet weekly and talk about the way their past week had been. It's one of the largest and sort of flagship ministries like this in the country
