I was just reading Robert Quorum's biography of Victor Trulock, Brute. And he wrote this fantastic book about John Boyd. Both these characters are like as revered a figure as they could be to their co workers but their children have very sort of torn feelings about their parents. I think being great at your job as important as both of those men's jobs were right,. especially Victor is sort of in the shit in the Pacific theater of the war.
