I was feeling a lot of pressure from society to be a good girl, friend, a good daughter, a good employee. And i discovered existential philosophy, especially samon de bouvois and realized that well, ok, i'm not reflecting on my choices. I'm not seizing my freedom to create the sort of person that i want to become. So i was in bad faith, and that faith was was a function of ignorance. We can't just say, if someone's not exercising their freedom, then that's bad. No, we need to look at their situation, look at the context that they're operating in.
