I Slept Like a Baby. That's Bad English, but It's Not Correct

In English, for some reason, if you want to say that you slept really well, you can say, oh, I slept like a baby. But anyone who has been a parent with small children and babies know that babies don't sleep well at all. A night owl is a person who prefers to stay up at night. Some people take CBD to help with sleep, to help with pain. It's totally legal in the state that I live in. Is it TH? I think it's called THC, the other part which gets you high.
