We know so much more in a way that sometimes maybe being in the dark might prevent, protect all parties. Teenagers want privacy for its own sake and independence because that is actually what they are biologically programmed to want. The kid who may not want it so that they can go do illicit things or go to the naughty places,. They just don't want to be watched. And I think we need to be always mindful of the unintended consequences.
