Is the Fed Rethinking Consumer Price Inflation?
It's far too early to have that discussion. It muddies the water and it makes the Fed fight even harder to get 2%. They are extremely concerned about their quote unquote credibility. And there is still a path as we come out of the pandemic as the supply chains, as the rotation in the economy from goods back to services happens. That's a conversation for maybe this time next year or middle of the year after.
