The Power of Democracy
There is no alternative to continuous conversation and persuasion on these issues. If you have people who think that they can go to a court and settle these kind of questions then there will be tension which can blow up in many ways so politically. When democracy says that everybody is equal and everybody is one vote that itself has a certain kind of force and power in society.
