Churchill himself said this was one of the biggest decisions he ever had to make. Most leaders want to do something and then say, live with it, baby. But people like it when somebody says, here's why i did it. I did it for certain reasons. It was the best decision i could make at the time. Let's move on. And that wins them the affection that they would have lost had they just acted and thrown it at people. You don't have to always respect the decision, but you can respect way the decision was made. O people will respect someone who makes a reasoned, wise decision, even if they don't agree with it. Well, i'll leave
