The Importance of Digitizing Biodiversity

Q's immense digitization project is overseen by Sarah Phillips. We say there are 7 million specimens but we don't actually know how many there are because you know this has been collected over 170 years. Digitizing will give us a whole inventory of what species we hold and we do actually expect to find new species during the digitization process. And that can then inform what future collection should be talking to our partners about what we have in total.
