The Left Was Paranoid, but It Was Real Facts
There was an enormous amount of communist propaganda in the united states, and it was disinformation foisted by the soviet union. To day, you cand e a sort of similar dynamic, where it's the left that talks a lot about russian disinformation, and it's the right that says, oh, they're just being paranoid. But people don't know a lot of this history, and so they think things are worse than they've ever been. And te the difficult thing is acknowledging that there was an enormous amounts of exaggeration on the right but it was an exaggeration of real factsof a true thing.
