Why Do You Want to Stop a Constitutional Convention?

There are good reasons to oppose a constitutional convention, but i don't think this story captures them very well. Article five of the constitution says there's two ways you can amend the constitution. The first method has been used 27 times and 26 amendments have been made. Second method would never be used - it could become a runaway convention that completely changed the constitution.
