Lambda - What Kind of Other Pathways Did You Take and Go?

I was on the Google now team for four and a half years. And then I transferred to a different team that the existence of that team is not public. It started in trust and safety, but then it moved over to RAI once that division got created after they fired Megan Timney. So if you go back two years, there was a specific AI ethics team at Google and it was co-led by two women, Timney Gebru and Meg Mitchell. They published a paper that Google didn't want its name on. But they were also commenting on things like bias and the fundamental way that these kinds of models are trained is wrong-headed.
