The C4 Model
The C4 model is a hierarchical set of abstractions that you can use to describe software architecture and building blocks in software architecture. The corresponding diagrams are a system context diagram which shows the system you are describing and the world around it's by which I mean people and other software systems. So if you try to draw these diagrams in a tool like Visio, you literally have to copy paste elements from one Visio tab, one Visio diagram to the next. And again that's what brings us back to the kind of Philip Christian 4 plus 1 roll. Long JMP would be better than just unwinding the stack through returns.
