The Origins of Ashulian Tools
Terence Deacon: Ashulian tools are found almost exclusively in Africa, Europe and South Asia. He says the A Shulian hand axe was not the first tool to be used by early humans. To make a really fine tool, you're probably talking about an hour to two hours, he says.
