The Pyramid of the Moon

The pyramid of the moon is believed to cover a sacrificial burial place, with many human remains having been discovered. As we walked north along the avenue, the vast pyramid is visible as the end point,. With the sero gordo mountain beyond it in the background, seemingly like a parental figure standing over the pyramid. It is hard to consider this to not be a deliberate aspect of the original construction plan. So the project may not have initially have been envisaged as it ended up, but certainly these pyramids have to be considered among the most impressive pyramids of the ancient americas.
