Are Christians Populists?

I think of things like the towr of babel am and other leaders throughout the old testament who have yet fallen because their eyes were not set on what god was calling the nation. And so it's really interesting that i think christians can't be populists. I think another element i wold put in that is kings, who often appeal to the crowd, yes. You see, jesus, the king of kings and e he has compassion on the crowd,. but he never bends to the crowd.
