Google Analytics allows you to very easily segment where your traffic is coming from and then look at what traffic is converting. Facebook folks convert at a much higher rate say for example than Twitter traffic does. You want to think in terms of ways to personalize content. There are some tremendous tools out there right now that things like 4Q or get smarter content allow you to ask people questions based on their answers, direct them to specific areas of your site.
