The first real clinical use was in 1942 with D-tubochyrorene. Suctional colon came around in 1952 and then in subsequent years different neuromuscular blockers were developed. Neostigaming and Glycopyrillate is an anti-muscarinic drug that blocks the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors as opposed to muscarinic receptor elsewhere. This podcast will focus on the blockade itself but there's a separate Acrack episode on Sugemedex.
