Ansel Keys's Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean diet was first sort of discovered by Ansel Keys during his work on something called the seven country study. He looked at the diets of only about 30 to 33 men on that island, but he decided they were like his star subjects. They seemed to be very healthy and ate lots of fruits and vegetables. And so these became sort of the basis of these 30-33 men came sort of the foundation of the Mediterranean diet.
