Joseph Ladou: I find it annoying when people talk about the reptilian brain. He says there's so many things wrong with that view of evolution. The amygdala is actually part of a different part of the forebrain altogether, he says. We're just like some branch way out there, on a twig on a branch, according to Ladou.
