The Gap Between Productivity and Wage Growth

Sally Kohn: We had low productivity growth for a very long time. And using low growth rates and now a decline in productivity, that's basically not qualitatively different. The puzzle you're pointing to is, well, then why are people so darn happy? She says workers have learned how to switch because of the pandemic. Skelton: If companies want to see a giant jolt in productivity, maybe they should share some of that progress with employees who are fueling it.
