How to Get Into a Distinguished University
It took me up to the Nobel Prize to realize that it was all the same Soviet system. I wrote my Nobel Memos which is obligatory to write. And then a friend of mine, who is a professor in the West in Sweden, comes to me and says, you know, you are so naive. Have you ever wondered, when all of you want to agricultural works in autumn, to help collective farms? You were exactly an examiner on one of those firing squads you experience in another university. So it was just someone I think I know who was that in the committee, who put the document, took my documents and put it to the office. Right.
