Is There a Form of Direct Perception?
There is a form of directness in terms of, we need to really understand the information through the inter face, so to speak. And then there is a kind of directness because it's not the same. The stimulus and the receptor features are not necessarily co extensive. But that being said, i do think that gibson had a point, but not in the way in which it’s used by oxard philosophers.
