Is the AstraZeneca Vaccine a Good Idea?
The argument in favor is, of course, at its base, an equity issue. Westerners are no more deserving of the vaccine than people who live in low and middle-income countries. There's a sort of enlightened self-interest foreign policy argument that says US and UK should be spreading their vaccines around the world. And then there's the economic slash public health argument, which is that we've seen in recent months how the vaccine mutates.
