The U. N M's Commitment to the Rule of Law Has Been Ineffective

The U.S. is trying to destabilize and de-stabilize russia, writes Peter Bergen. He says a recent white paper by an influential think tank lays out the strategy for doing so. It calls for placing tactical ear weapons in countries all around Russia, as well as land based ship missiles that can threaten its black sea fleet,. And it suggests using propaganda and psychological operations to de legitimize russia's elections - which could provoke a response from Moscow. The last time this sort of thing happened was during the early cold war when America tried to undermine Soviet influence across Europe.
