As you get older, the sort of one of the failure modes is forgetting to check the place where you wrote down all the things you're supposed to do during the day. And it's a huge risk that you run into, which is like you got unearned in the same way that America enjoys a kind of unearned optimismThat I hate. You got an unearned sense of relief because some part of your mind that you would have fretted about that now says it's done and done and dusted. It's not even focused. It's just like, well, you know, this is not going to happen.
