Is Corroboration a Good Thing?
Pape: Why should we act on a well corroborated theory? And that seems to me to be just am induction. Can call it animal belief if you like. But but again, am, we think we have better reasons. We're using these mechanisms and discoveries in order to think that certain ways of going on are more likely to succeed than others. Pape: When popper says that a theory is well corroborated, he is really saying it has support and makes it better to act on.
