The Signaling Pathways in Muscle Stem Cells After Injury
We inject them back into the injured muscles of a mouse after a muscle injury. And then we see them restore and regenerate the tissue very well. The problem is that it's an ex vivo treatment, which is not very cost effective labor intensive. If you do this in vitro, the pathway impacts the immune system as well. So we then turn to other approaches. This leads me to the breakthrough that I'm so excited about.
