In 1992 nobody was doing this kind of stuff with any regularity. Nobody had a budget to put an ad in the daily paper. There wasn't a radio show. So I started doing that locally in Austin for local bands and then I started working at clubs, you know, usually running the door doing security, whatever. And there was this really great guy in Austin that nobody ever gives credit to you. He founded like three or four of the big successful clubs in Austin in the eighties. And he liked posters. He liked graphics. So he was actually willing to pay me like 25 books to do a nicer poster in two colors for a larger touring act. By doing that for him
