After med school in India you came to the United States and started a residency in rural Tennessee, that's what my own country is all about. And one of our readers, Karen, is a physician herself and Karen has a question about that. I was wondering if you could talk more about your medical career path. What led you to return to the U.S. for your residency and fellowship after completing your studies in India. If you could discuss your time working with HIV and AIDS patients in a rural setting, how do these experiences affect your perspectives as both a physician and a writer?
