The Trump Indictment

The 45 page indictment was revealed on Tuesday. Trump faces four counts revolving around his push to stay in office in 2020 after losing that election as well as the riot at the Capitol during the January 6th vote certification. Most conspiracy cases involve allegations that defendants agreed to engage in conduct that violated, violated specific federal criminal law. The civil rights charge is brought under a statute that dates to 1870 adopted in the aftermath of the Civil War and sometimes called the first Clu KKK act.
