The Language of Witness and Longing
Lailey long soldier is the poet, architect. In some ways, i think it's language that comes from an outward gaze. The idea of the witness is not something that i sit down to the page with. Longing, for me, conjures up feelings, maybe of nastalgia,. both of which are things that i try very hard to avoid. But maybe there is a sense of longing in there that haven't myself recognized.
