The miracle on the Hudson happened in 2009 on a US Airways flight out of LaGuardia Airport. The pilots, Captain Chesley Sullenberger and first officer Jeffrey Schiles were able to glide the plane into position and land it safely. "I think it's bizarrely safe," says Adam Uhan, another commercial pilot who used to fly military.
