Octavian and Cicero in the Philippics
Antony and his domineering wife wanted cicero dead, and octavian was the guy who protected him. This is one of those stories that immediately makes my ears prick up when i hear about octavian defending cicero. And then you've got lepedu's brother paulus, being put on thet prescription list, as well as a bit of a trade. Oa ohe hates thanks to the philippics and cicero being cicero,. but octavian is keen to defend - they kind of trade him off. It's really one of the great masterpieces of insult comedy.
