A neuroscientist at Stanford has a podcast on how to breathe. He talks about four different sort of breath techniques you can practice with box breathing and hyperventilation, various other things. But the one that turned out in a study to be most impactful was five minutes of this exercise once a day for a month. They showed reductions in heart rate and heart rate variability and respiratory rate and greater well being.
